What this site is

Trade With Congress republishes financial disclosures that members of the U.S. House and Senate are required to file under the STOCK Act. Those filings are public records. We parse them, check them, and link every figure back to the document it came from.

The site is operated by DataInterview LLC. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to the U.S. government, the House Clerk, the Senate Office of Public Records, or any member of Congress.

Not investment advice

Nothing here is investment, financial, legal, or tax advice, and nothing here is a recommendation to buy or sell anything. We do not know your circumstances and are not your adviser.

Performance figures — including the leaderboard, alpha calculations, and price charts — are historical descriptions of disclosed transactions. They are not predictions, and past performance does not indicate future results. Disclosures reach the public up to 45 days after a trade, so nothing on this site is timely enough to act on. Any decision you make with this information is yours alone.

Accuracy, and the limits of it

The underlying filings are PDFs — many scanned, some handwritten. We parse them automatically, and some rows are read by a vision model and flagged as unverified. The data will contain errors.

Amounts are disclosed as brackets, never exact figures, so every dollar amount here is an estimate. Filings cover a member's entire household, so a transaction shown against a member may have been made by a spouse, a dependent child, or an account the member does not direct — we label ownership on every row and you should not read past it.

Performance figures are computed from the disclosed transaction date against dividend- and split-adjusted closing prices, benchmarked to the S&P 500 over the same window; amounts use the midpoint of the disclosed bracket. The site is provided “as is”, without warranty of any kind. If a figure disagrees with the filing it links to, the filing is correct and we are wrong — tell us and we will fix it.

Content about real people

This site publishes factual information about named public officials, drawn from their own mandatory disclosures. Nothing here alleges wrongdoing. Disclosure is the law working as intended, and a well-timed trade is not evidence of anything on its own.

What you may do with the data

The source filings are works of the U.S. government and carry no copyright. You are free to use the underlying public records however you like.

The site itself — its design, code, written analysis, and the compiled and corrected database behind it — is the property of DataInterview LLC. You may quote and link to it with attribution. Please do not scrape it at a rate that degrades service for others, or republish the database wholesale as your own product.

Availability

We may change, suspend, or discontinue any part of the site at any time. Data updates depend on government sources we do not control, and may be delayed or interrupted.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, DataInterview LLC is not liable for any loss arising from your use of this site or reliance on anything published here, including trading or investment losses.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The effective date above changes when we do, and continuing to use the site means you accept the revision.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of [STATE], United States, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules.
